Extension to listed building, Summer 2011

These extensions and alterations on a Grade 2 listed building were carried out in conjunction with our architect, Gary Taylor of PGT Associates. In order to connect the two upper sections of the building, we had to adjoin the roofs, remove an internal staircase and re-position, and carry out intricate internal alterations, whilst retaining the original features necessary to comply with Listed Building regulations. We also utilised the space by creating two extensions, once to encompass the new position of the staircase in the Hallway and another to extend the existing Kitchen.

Externally the area around the new Kitchen extension was given a new lease of life by banking up the higher ground using steelwork and sleepers, incorporating new steps, and completed with a large patio area, complementing the period of the property.
