MBS were delighted to be awarded the contract to demolish the Laundry and Payroll buildings at Basildon Hospital.
The process included removal of a large quantity of asbestos, this was monitored through daily air testing and rigorous reporting.
Demolition machines were used to remove the buildings with high reach machines being used first to remove the highest sections of the buildings.
Waste was removed from site on an on-going process, with all materials being carefully split into each relevant recycling waste skip. Once on the ground, the concrete slabs were crushed on-site to provide materials for the next stage of the project, completed and handed over to the NHS Trust ahead of schedule.
